On March 18th, the 22nd edition of the Aalsmeer Flower Cup will be held in Sporthal de Bloemhof Aalsmeer. Several junior WAGC and World Cup finalists and medallists will compete in the event, amongst many young talents who hope to reach their full potential in the next quad.
As always there are over 300 competitors registered from seventeen countries all over the world. Dutch Champions of 2016 Jimmy Demmers and Pascal Wiebering will compete in the event, as well as Bo Bet, the Dutch participant of the Olympic Test Event in Brazil last year.
The junior champions of 2015, Jeremy Chartier (Gymnastics Canada) and Sophiane Methot (Gymnastics Canada) will both be back as well to defend their titles. For Methot it will be her first Flower Cup in the senior division.
New Code of Points
The Aalsmeer Flower Cup 2017 will be one of the first international competitions using the new Code of Points. Most prominent changes are the separate judging of horizontal displacement and four instead of two difficulty elements in the first routine (class I seniors). The new scoring will make it an exciting competition!
Qualifications will be held from 9.30 – 18:00. Finals will start from 19.30.
