Pennes Beats Pioline’s Record in France & Qualifies for London

At the French National Championships in Rodez this weekend Gregoire Pennes (Bois Colombes) won his 7th consecutive Men’s Individual National Trampoline Championship, beating 2-time World Champion Lionel Pioline’s record of consecutive titles. This tremendous achievement also secures him a spot as France’s sole representative in the Trampoline competition at the Olympics this summer.

Second in the French National Championships for the men trampolinists was Pennes’ synchro partner Sebastien Martiny and third was Redha Messafta.

Marina Maurinova (Levallois) won the Women’s Individual title while Agathe January (Rennes) and Alexandre Bertin (Eybens) prevailed in tumbling. Full results are still pending. But, for now these are available:
