It’s another big weekend in Trampoline World. At least two major events are going on right now, as we speak (write/read). The ladies of Great Britain are fighting for that coveted spot representing their country at the Olympics in front of their home crowd in London. This is their final trial competition, therefore their last chance to make it real. It will be dramatic. The Olympian won’t be formally announced, however, until July 4th.
Also taking place this weekend is the first World Cup of the 2012 series. It is being held in Taiyuan, China. Sixty-eight athletes from 13 countries are participating in Trampoline, Synchro and Tumbling. So far, we’ve heard the American results: Savannah Vinsant is currently in 6th after prelims and Steven Gluckstein in currently in 8th. Steven and Michael Devine have qualified in third in Synchro, advancing to the finals, while Dakota Earnest and Alaina Williams are also advancing.
This is the first of three World Cups this month. On June 16-17 the next one will be held in Albecete, Spain and then on June 22-23 in Arosa, Switzerland. After the Olympic Games, they will resume with the next two being held in Loule, Portugal on September 7-8 and in Sofia, Bulgaria on October 5-6.

Are there any videos from China? was it streamed somewhere?
Thanks
I was able to find just one video and it’s not on YouTube. It’s Dong Dong’s final routine posted to FaceBook. It’s quite amazing and I posted it to my FaceBook page. See it here: https://www.facebook.com/Trampolinepundit … Other than that, I haven’t found anything. But, I plan to keep checking FIG’s and USAG’s YouTube pages to see if they post something.
Thanks! I really wanted to see his routine
too bad for the shot’s angle though
FIG and USAG are so inconsistent with their video coverage that I wouldn’t count on them. I kind of hoped you knew of some different source.
Thanks anyway.
I agree with you. I wish I did know of another source, too! :-/
